Dallas Nightlife and Restaurants: A closer look at the Adolphus Hotel and French Room

Dallas, also known as the "Big D", is an eclectic mix of old and new. From the Stetsons, southern charm, and Steakhouses to the modern lounges, wine bars and hip nightclubs â Dallas is the place to be! Dine at local favorites like S & D Oyster Company and Ill Forks and unwind for an after dinner cocktail at Urban Oasis and Absinthe Lounge.
No trip to Dallas is complete without a visit to the Adolphus Hotel. Rated among the "Top 500 Hotels in 2007", by Conde Nast Magazine, the Adolphus is a true gem both locals and tourists. With its Baroque splendor and lavish design, it is difficult not to feel like royalty when staying here!
The French Room at the Adolphus was voted "#1 restaurant in the United States", by Zagat Survey and journeyPod agrees hands down! Both the service and quality of food was impeccable (make sure you taste the Jumbo Lump Crap Cakes and the Souffles!).
Maitre dâ, Jim Donahue, and Executive Chef, Jason Weaver gave us an inside scoop on the history, dÃcor and cuisine of The French Room.
