Beachside Dining at Lido Restaurant Bermuda

Located at the fabulous Elbow Beach Resort, Lido Restaurant serves fresh seafood with a stunning view of the Atlantic Ocean.

“Simplicity of the dish” is something that Lido strongly believes in. Chef Max Olivari uses sauces and spices to enhance the dish, not surpress it. This means less cream and butter sauces (Carb-conscious diners are in luck!)

Lido is part of the Little Venice Group Restaurants in Bermuda. On the Elbow Beach property guests can also enjoy sushi at the Seabreeze Lounge as well as a Mai Tai and afternoon snack at Mickey’s Beach Bistro (Bermuda’s first and only beach bistro!)

Listen in as General Manager, Ennio Lucarini, discusses the idea and cuisine of Lido.

Check out our podcast with Zeudi Hines of Elbow Beach!

Enjoy podsafe artist Amy Ayres and her track “My Place”.

The Ivy Hotel — Upscale Luxury with Butler Service

journeyPod is your guide to luxury travel around the world.  journeyPod certainly experienced âindulgence served gracefully? during our stay at The Ivy Hotel, located in the heart of the GasLamp Quarter of San Diego.

The Ivy Hotel is upscale luxury all the way…I mean what other hotel are you greeted at the front desk, escorted to your room, offered to have your garments pressed and unpacked for you, then brought a complimentary glass of champagne by your personal butler?  Yes, I did just say âpersonal butlerâ?….a butler who is happy to draw you a Molten brand bubble bath, complete with music, candles, and a beverage.

If relaxation isn’t what you had in mind, have no fears. The Ivy is home to THREE clubs…Club Eden, Ultra Lounge, and Club Envy.  All the staff wear costumes? (do not even whisper the word âuniformsâ?!) created by Chinese designer, Tadashi.

What are you waiting for?!  Book your room at The Ivy Hotel today and get ready for some serious pampering!

Be sure to listen for the upcoming podcast show with Chef Damon Gordon of The Ivy Hotel’s restaurant, The Quarter Kitchen.

Check out the sounds of The Funktrainer and their funky song, The Secrets of Princess Ivy.

Iron Chef Cat Cora and Iron Chef Morimoto Cooking Styles

journeyPod is your guide to luxury travel around the world.  Listen in as Iron Chef Cat Cora and Iron Chef Morimoto give us some info on their cooking styles at the South Beach Wine & Food Festival.  Cat shares some news on her new CCQ barbeque restaurant opening in May.  Iron Chef Morimoto talks about his restaurants in Philly, NY, and India.

Cat grew up in Mississippi and so she uses some Southern cooking styles in her own dishes.  She also relies on her Greek upbringing to blend in wonderful Mediterranean flavors.  And of course her culinary training in France with 3 star Michelin chefs.

Morimoto left Nobu to start his own restaurants.  He was the original Iron Chef Japanese on the first Iron Chef programs in Japan.

Enjoy the sounds of Brain Buckit and their tune, “Let the Boogie Out.”
